ACGC Standards Survey

The Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) is seeking your input in updating the Standards for Accreditation as established and adopted by ACGC.  These Standards are used by ACGC to accredit master’s degree-granting programs in the United States and Canada that prepare individuals to enter the genetic counseling profession.

By participating in the survey, you will have the opportunity to evaluate each of the training Standards.  All of the responses will be reviewed by the ACGC Standards Committee and a detailed summary of the survey results will be provided to the ACGC Board of Directors.  The ACGC Board of Directors will use this information in their efforts to ensure that the Standards are effective and relevant in training genetic counselors to enter a rapidly evolving profession.

The time to complete this survey is variable based on the number of Standards you wish to comment on, but may take 30-60 minutes.  It can be completed in multiple sittings when using the same computer or smart device.  The process may be expedited if you review the Standards in full before proceeding with the survey.

The survey will be open until February 28, 2018.

If you know of other stakeholders (e.g. employers, patients/advocates, etc.) who may be willing to provide input on the training of future genetic counselors, please forward this email invitation to them so they can participate in the survey.
